Empowering Lives and Uniting Communities through Soccer.

In the heart of Kaduna State, Nigeria, lies a community in need of hope, resilience, and opportunities—the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp. The Ozoya Football Foundation, is on a mission to make a lasting impact on the lives of those affected by displacement. We invite you to join hands with us in sponsoring our comprehensive program tailored for the Kaduna IDP camp, addressing essential needs like feeding, clothing, shelter, education, and skill acquisition—all through the universal language of soccer.

Background

The Kaduna IDP camp is home to individuals and families who have faced the harsh realities of displacement, leaving behind their homes, possessions, and, in many cases, their hopes for a brighter future. The Ozoya Football Foundation recognizes the urgency of responding to the multifaceted challenges the camp residents face.

ABOUT US

IDP Camp Program

Ozoya Football Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to using the sport of football as a tool for positive social change. Since its inception, the foundation has been committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable populations, particularly those affected by conflict and displacement.

Ozoya Football Foundation is gearing up for a transformative program at the Kaduna IDP camp. The program is designed to address the multifaceted needs of the residents, focusing on five key areas: feeding, clothing, shelter, education, and skill acquisition, all centered around the unifying and uplifting spirit of soccer.

Program Overview

Ozoya Football Foundation’s IDP Camp Program is a holistic initiative designed to uplift the spirits and prospects of the camp residents. Our program focuses on five key pillars:

Feeding

Providing nutritious meals to ensure the well-being of the residents.

Collaborating with local farmers and suppliers to support the community economy.

Clothing

Distributing essential clothing items to protect against the elements and promote dignity.

Organizing clothing drives to involve the larger community in supporting their displaced neighbors.

Shelter

Rehabilitating and improving living conditions within the camp.

We are partnering with construction experts to enhance infrastructure and create sustainable housing solutions.

Education

Establishing learning centers within the camp to provide access to education for all age groups.

Offering scholarships and educational materials to empower the youth and adults alike.

Skill Acquisition through Soccer

Implementing soccer training programs to instill discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Creating opportunities for individuals to develop vocational skills related to soccer, such as coaching, refereeing, and sports management.

Why Soccer?

Soccer transcends cultural and linguistic barriers, fostering unity and resilience. Through our soccer-centric approach, we aim to build a sense of community, instill values, and provide a platform for personal and collective growth.
